Route : Srinagar - Kargil via Sonamarg (9000ft i.e. 2750mt)

Arrival at Srinagar, you will meet our representative and will be driven directly to Kargil (204 km) and drive through Sonamarg.  Situated at an altitude of 9000 ft Sonamarg – 84 km is also called as “The meadow of gold” has at its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh River that meanders through the valley
abounds with trout and mahaseer. Continue your journey towards Kargil and passing over Zojila Pass. Stop at Drass, the 2nd coldest inhabitant place in the World. Then drive along the Drass River till one arrives at Kargil. On arrival check in at hotel. Overnight stay in Kargil.

Route : Full day local sightseeing around Leh

After breakfast visit for local sightseeing of Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Sangam View where Indus & Zanskar River meet.

The Hall of Fame : Located near the Leh Airfiled, is a museum constructed as well as maintained by the Indian Army in the memory of the soldiers who had lost their lives during the Indo-Pak wars. It
is also termed as a memorial for the war heroes. This building consists of two floors. While on the ground floor, there is information about the brave soldiers and a souvenir shop but on the first floor, there are artefacts of various wars (mainly Kargil war) such as the weapons used during the war and some important documents, related to the same. There is another section dedicated to the Siachen glacier.

Gurdwara Shri PatharSahib : It is situated on the Srinagar-Leh Road, 25kms before the Leh. It is very beautiful and it was created in memory of the founder of Sikh religion and the first guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Magnetic Hill : It is a so-called "gravity hill" located near Leh in Ladakh, India. The “Magnet Hill” is located on the Leh-Kargil-Srinagar national highway, about 30 km from Leh, at a height of 11,000 feet  above sea level. On its south side flows the Indus, which originates in Tibet and goes to Pakistan. The magnetic hill has become a popular stop for domestic tourists on car journeys. The alignment of the road with the slope of the background can give the illusion that cars are able to drift upwards.

Sangam Valley : It is a 48 kilometre drive from Leh and is the confluence of the rivers Indus and Zanskar. Just the view of Sangam Valley from the road above it can make you swoon in ecstasy. The colours of the two rivers can be distinctly seen at the confluence. It is an amazing place to sit, relax, and enjoy a picnic with family and friends. Overnight stay in Leh.

Route : Leh - Nubra via Khardungla Top
Night Stay : Nubra, Hotel

After breakfast at hotel drive towards Nubra valley. Popularly known as Dorma or "the valley of flowers" via Khardungla Pass - the world's one of the highest motorable road (5602 mts). On arrival, check-in to your Hotel. Later in the afternoon, visit the Diskit Monastery and the giant statue of Maitreya Buddha which is the tallest Buddha statue in Ladakh. Later visit the white sand dunes at Hunder where you can enjoy the Double Humped Bactrian camel ride (ride on direct payment basis).Overnight stay in Nubra.

Route : Nubra - Leh

After breakfast you will leave for Leh on the same route to Nubra. Afternoon you will we taken to visit Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace.

Shanti Stupa : Located on the hilltop at Changspa. The Stupa was constructed by a Japanese Buddhist organization, known as ʹThe Japanese for World Peaceʹ. The aim behind the construction of the Stupa was to commemorate 2500 years of Buddhism and to promote World Peace.

Leh Palace : Built in the 17th century, it was built as the residential palace for the King SinggeNamgyal. Much smaller but resembling the Potala in Lhasa, Leh Palace is now in ruins. It has nine storeys and has been deserted since the royal family shifted to the Stok Palace in 1830s.

Route : Leh - Pangong (14270 ft i.e. 4350 mt)
Night Stay : Pangong, Camp

After breakfast leave for full day excursion to Pangong Lake.This route takes the visitor past the picturesque villages of Shey and Thikse, and turns off the Indus valley by the side valley of Chemrey and Sakti. The Ladakh rang is crossed by the Chang‐la (18,000 feet / 5,475 M) which despite its great elevation is one of the easier passes, remaining open for much of the year even in winter, apart from periods of actual snowfall.

Tangse, just beyond the foot of the pass, has an ancient temple. But the main attraction of this circuit is the Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 M). A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometers at its widest point to which foreigners are permitted, is only some seven km along the southern shore from the head of the lake, but it affords spectacular views of the mountains of the Changchenmo range to the north, their reflection shimmering in the ever‐changing blues and greens of the lakes brackish water. Above Spangmik are the glacier and snow‐capped peaks of the Pangong range. Overnight stay in Pangong.

Route : Pangong - Leh (13950 fti.e. 4250 mt)

After breakfast leave for walk at Pangong Lake, a highest salt water lake in the World, shared by two countries India (25%) & China (75%), enjoy the beauty of lake on banks of the lake while appreciating the changing colours of fascinating high altitude lake. Shey Palace (15kms south of Leh): Was built by DeldanNamgyal in the beginning of 17th century AD. The main image in the monastery is three story statue of Buddha Shakamuni, made of copper gilt which was
made by Deldan Namgyal in the memory of his father SingayNamgyal. The statue is the only of its kind in the region.

Thiksey Gompa (17kms south of Leh): The most beautiful in all the monasteries in Ladakh, belongs to the Gelukspa order. Overnight stay in Leh.

General Information :

Acclimatization and High Altitude sickness –

  • Ladakh is a high altitude cold desert with a low level of atmospheric oxygen. It is therefore absolutely necessary that visitors reaching Leh from the plains of India by air give them sufficient time for acclimatization before engaging in any physical activity. It is important to take complete rest for the first 24 hours after arrival. Any kind of physical exertion is to be avoided. Smoking and drinking (Alcohol) should also be avoided till you are fully acclimatized. The rarefied atmosphere may cause high altitude ailments like Acute Mountain Sickness, necessitating instant evacuation of visitors who are unable to get acclimatized. Anyone travelling to altitudes above 10,000 ft (2,700 m) is liable to suffer from acute mountain sickness (AMS) unless properly acclimatized.
  • The most common symptoms of acute mountain sickness are headache, disturbed sleep and loss of appetite, nausea, coughing, irregular breathing, breathlessness, lassitude and lack of concentration. As a preventive measure, Tab Dimox 250 mg should be taken at the rate of 1 tablet twice a day for 3 days, at least 2 days before coming to Ladakh or any high altitude area.
Lack of Oxygen in Ladakh -

Anyone travelling above 10000 feet will find it little difficult to breath normally and do any kind of physical exertion immediately. It’s mainly because of low level of atmospheric oxygen, but the low atmospheric oxygen is absolutely not a cause to avoid Leh Ladakh. Within first day or two of taking it easy/slow pace one will acclimatize to this low oxygen level and do things normally. It is highly recommended that you plan your Leh Ladakh trip with adequate days on hand and keep the initial few days as lazy days ( not too much travel / moving around).

Healthcare & Medical Assistance -

The main center for health care in Leh is the SNM Hospital, which is well equipped and staffed by specialists to handle all problems. Elsewhere in the region, there are sub-district hospitals at block
headquarters and medical dispensaries in major villages, which are staffed by qualified doctors. In addition, services of the following private clinics and associated facilities are also available in Leh.

How to reach Leh -

By Air : You can take a flight between Delhi and Leh. Besides Delhi, flights to Leh operate from Srinagar & Jammu.
By Road : Srinagar – Sonamarg - Drass – Kargil – Lamayuru – Leh it takes two days travelling a distance
of 434 kms with a night halt in Kargil. Take the road journey from Manali to Leh via Keylong/Jispa; it
takes two days travelling a distance of 474 kms with a night halt in Sarchu/ Jispa/ Keylong.

Temperature -

The summer temperature is quite pleasant but in winter it touches the extreme. The winter temp touches as low as minus 30 degree (Leh & Kargil) and minus 60 degree in Drass. Subzero temp prevails from December to February throughout Ladakh, whereas, zero degree temp is experienced during rest of winter months. This results in freezing of all conceivable water resources. During summer the maximum temp rises from 20 to 35 degree celsius in July and August.

Clothing -

During May – August you can move around in cotton T-shirts with a light jacket for mornings and evenings. In winters Oct – March/ April it is advised that you dress in layers with one of the layer been a thermal and then cottons followed by a medium Jacket/ Sweater. It is also advised that you do carry a warm/ heavy jacket along. While what you wear is entirely your personal choice, we recommend you include the following while packing :

  • Sun Glasses preferably good brand and with UV protection
  • Sun block lotion – the higher the SPF the better, carry couple of these water proof wind cheater.
  • Shorts/Leather Shoes.
  • Thick sock, Light woolen glove.
  • Comfortable clothing, do not carry tights as you might need to dress in layers Leh Ladakh is not the
    place to carry high heels, short and revealing clothes.
  • Airtel or Bsnl postpaid number only.
Permit and Passport/any ID Cards/GST -

Tourists do not require permit for Leh, however, all foreigners are required to get themselves registered at Drass travelling from Srinagar – Leh by road, Rumtse and Sarchu if they are travelling overland. Those travelling by air get the registration done at the airport. All Domestic & Foreigners tourists are required to get permit for some of the restricted areas like Tsomoriri, Tsokar and Pangong Lakes, Dhahanu and Nubra Valley, which can be obtained from District Magistrate, Leh, through us. For Pangong and Nubra valley the inner line permits are of Rs 350/- per head separately i.e. Rs 700/- per head. For Domestic Clients it’s advised to carry their ID card’s (Adhaar Card, Driving silence, Passport, Voter Id Card, Govt Department cards). Govt. Service Tax (GST) for standard package, deluxe package, super deluxe and above category will be 9%.

Credit Cards & ATM Machine -

The Jammu and Kashmir Bank, State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank and Punjab National Bank have placed ATM Machine in main Leh city. But its recommended to have cash in hand as well.

General Information :

Acclimatization and High Altitude sickness –

  • Ladakh is a high altitude cold desert with a low level of atmospheric oxygen. It is therefore absolutely necessary that visitors reaching Leh from the plains of India by air give them sufficient time for acclimatization before engaging in any physical activity. It is important to take complete rest for the first 24 hours after arrival. Any kind of physical exertion is to be avoided. Smoking and drinking (Alcohol) should also be avoided till you are fully acclimatized. The rarefied atmosphere may cause high altitude ailments like Acute Mountain Sickness, necessitating instant evacuation of visitors who are unable to get acclimatized. Anyone travelling to altitudes above 10,000 ft (2,700 m) is liable to suffer from acute mountain sickness (AMS) unless properly acclimatized.
  • The most common symptoms of acute mountain sickness are headache, disturbed sleep and loss of appetite, nausea, coughing, irregular breathing, breathlessness, lassitude and lack of concentration. As a preventive measure, Tab Dimox 250 mg should be taken at the rate of 1 tablet twice a day for 3 days, at least 2 days before coming to Ladakh or any high altitude area.
Lack of Oxygen in Ladakh -

Anyone travelling above 10000 feet will find it little difficult to breath normally and do any kind of physical exertion immediately. It’s mainly because of low level of atmospheric oxygen, but the low atmospheric oxygen is absolutely not a cause to avoid Leh Ladakh. Within first day or two of taking it easy/slow pace one will acclimatize to this low oxygen level and do things normally. It is highly recommended that you plan your Leh Ladakh trip with adequate days on hand and keep the initial few days as lazy days ( not too much travel / moving around).

Healthcare & Medical Assistance -

The main center for health care in Leh is the SNM Hospital, which is well equipped and staffed by specialists to handle all problems. Elsewhere in the region, there are sub-district hospitals at block
headquarters and medical dispensaries in major villages, which are staffed by qualified doctors. In addition, services of the following private clinics and associated facilities are also available in Leh.

How to reach Leh -

By Air : You can take a flight between Delhi and Leh. Besides Delhi, flights to Leh operate from Srinagar & Jammu.
By Road : Srinagar – Sonamarg - Drass – Kargil – Lamayuru – Leh it takes two days travelling a distance
of 434 kms with a night halt in Kargil. Take the road journey from Manali to Leh via Keylong/Jispa; it
takes two days travelling a distance of 474 kms with a night halt in Sarchu/ Jispa/ Keylong.

Temperature -

The summer temperature is quite pleasant but in winter it touches the extreme. The winter temp touches as low as minus 30 degree (Leh & Kargil) and minus 60 degree in Drass. Subzero temp prevails from December to February throughout Ladakh, whereas, zero degree temp is experienced during rest of winter months. This results in freezing of all conceivable water resources. During summer the maximum temp rises from 20 to 35 degree celsius in July and August.

Clothing -

During May – August you can move around in cotton T-shirts with a light jacket for mornings and evenings. In winters Oct – March/ April it is advised that you dress in layers with one of the layer been a thermal and then cottons followed by a medium Jacket/ Sweater. It is also advised that you do carry a warm/ heavy jacket along. While what you wear is entirely your personal choice, we recommend you include the following while packing :

  • Sun Glasses preferably good brand and with UV protection
  • Sun block lotion – the higher the SPF the better, carry couple of these water proof wind cheater.
  • Shorts/Leather Shoes.
  • Thick sock, Light woolen glove.
  • Comfortable clothing, do not carry tights as you might need to dress in layers Leh Ladakh is not the
    place to carry high heels, short and revealing clothes.
  • Airtel or Bsnl postpaid number only.
Permit and Passport/any ID Cards/GST -

Tourists do not require permit for Leh, however, all foreigners are required to get themselves registered at Drass travelling from Srinagar – Leh by road, Rumtse and Sarchu if they are travelling overland. Those travelling by air get the registration done at the airport. All Domestic & Foreigners tourists are required to get permit for some of the restricted areas like Tsomoriri, Tsokar and Pangong Lakes, Dhahanu and Nubra Valley, which can be obtained from District Magistrate, Leh, through us. For Pangong and Nubra valley the inner line permits are of Rs 350/- per head separately i.e. Rs 700/- per head. For Domestic Clients it’s advised to carry their ID card’s (Adhaar Card, Driving silence, Passport, Voter Id Card, Govt Department cards). Govt. Service Tax (GST) for standard package, deluxe package, super deluxe and above category will be 9%.

Credit Cards & ATM Machine -

The Jammu and Kashmir Bank, State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank and Punjab National Bank have placed ATM Machine in main Leh city. But its recommended to have cash in hand as well.
